Privacy Policy

Last updated July 31, 2026. Also see our Terms of Use.

This Privacy Policy describes how Not Yet Ventures, LLC (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and shares information about you when you visit notyet.vc and related pages (the “Site”), pitch us, apply to get involved, open a private link we send you, subscribe to updates, or otherwise interact with us (together, the “Services”). It is part of our Terms of Use. By using the Services, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

For privacy requests (access, correction, deletion, or other questions), use the privacy request form on this page.

Who this applies to

This policy applies if you:

  • Visit our website
  • Pitch us, join a waitlist, or complete an invite-only application step
  • Apply via Get involved or similar network forms
  • Open a private link we send (booking, preferences, feedback, and similar)
  • Are a founder, LP, mentor, partner, or other contact in our network
  • Sign up for events, newsletters, or other updates
  • Are identified as a potential founder or ecosystem contact through referrals, events, or publicly available professional information

Information we collect

We collect information that identifies you or could reasonably be linked to you (“personal information”).

What you provide. Name, email, phone, LinkedIn or other profile URLs, location, education and background, company or project details, decks and other documents, co-founder or teammate information, and anything else you include when you pitch us, join a waitlist, complete an invite-only application step, apply via Get involved, RSVP to an event, email us, or fill out a form. When you open a private link we send (for example booking, preferences, deal feedback, raise status, rematch, or SPV materials), we may collect what you enter and technical details needed to validate the link.

From other sources. We may also receive personal information from referrals and introductions; portfolio companies, investors, mentors, or other partners; event organizers; and publicly available professional sources (such as LinkedIn or company websites). We may use tools, including AI-assisted tools, to help identify or organize publicly available professional information relevant to our investment and network work. All material decisions remain subject to human review.

From social platforms. If you interact with our pages on LinkedIn, X, or similar sites, we may receive information you choose to share and aggregate analytics from those platforms.

Automatically. When you use the Site, we may collect IP address, browser and device information, referring URLs, pages viewed, dates and times of access, and approximate location from IP. We may use cookies or similar technologies for site operation, preferences (such as dark mode), and analytics. You can control cookies in your browser; blocking some may limit features. We do not use a cookie consent popup. We currently do not respond to “Do Not Track” signals. If that changes, we will update this policy.

How we use information

  • Provide, operate, and improve the Services
  • Evaluate pitches and network applications and run our investment and relationship processes
  • Networking, relationship management, introductions, events, and ecosystem engagement
  • Respond to inquiries and send service or administrative messages
  • Send newsletters or updates when you have asked for them or as otherwise permitted
  • Support internal operations with analytics and AI-assisted tools (for example summarization or prioritization), with human oversight for material decisions. We do not make decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects
  • Analyze usage, prevent fraud or abuse, and secure our systems
  • Comply with law and protect our rights and those of others

We may aggregate or de-identify information and use or share it in ways that do not identify you.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information.

We do not share your personal information with other organizations for their own marketing or promotional uses without your express consent.

We may share personal information with:

  • Service providers who help us run the Services (hosting, databases, email, analytics, forms, calendar/booking, storage, and similar tools), under our instructions
  • Professional advisors (legal, accounting, and similar) when reasonably needed
  • Affiliates under common control with us, for purposes consistent with this policy
  • Network participants where relevant to an introduction, event, or collaboration you have requested or that is reasonably clear from context (for example connecting a founder with a mentor or investor)
  • Business transfers in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to customary confidentiality
  • Legal and safety when we believe disclosure is required by law, to protect rights or safety, or to investigate fraud or security issues
  • With your direction, including introductions you ask us to make

Pitch materials. We receive many similar submissions. We use commercially reasonable measures to protect applications, but we cannot accept responsibility for protecting general industry knowledge or non-confidential ideas in materials you send. Only submit what you are comfortable sharing with an early-stage investor for evaluation. Email and internet transmission are not fully secure.

Events and photos

If you attend an event we host or co-host, we may take photos or short recordings and use them for documentation or marketing (for example on our Site or social channels). If you prefer we not use a clear photo or clip of you, use the privacy request form and we will take reasonable steps to stop further use.

Your choices

You may opt out of marketing emails via the unsubscribe link in any email we send. You may use the privacy request form to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information we hold about you, subject to legal, security, fraud-prevention, and legitimate business retention needs (including investment and relationship records). We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.

Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, including legal, accounting, security, and investment or relationship records. How long depends on the type of data and our relationship with you. We may keep de-identified or aggregated information longer.

California residents

If you are a California resident, you may have rights under the CCPA/CPRA to know, delete, and correct personal information, and to be free from discrimination for exercising those rights, subject to legal exceptions. To exercise those rights, submit the privacy request form and choose the matching request type. We may ask for information reasonably needed to verify the request. You may use an authorized agent with signed permission; we may still require you to verify your identity.

Depending on how you interact with us, categories we may collect include: identifiers (such as name and email); commercial or Service-related information; professional and education information you provide; internet or network activity; approximate geolocation from IP; and inferences drawn from the above to operate the Services. Sources are primarily you, your devices, service providers, referrals, and publicly available professional information. We use and disclose these categories for the purposes described above. We do not sell personal information. We do not use the Site for retargeting or cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not knowingly “share” personal information for that purpose under California law. If that changes, we will update this policy.

Children

The Services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information, use the privacy request form and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

Links to other sites

The Services may link to third-party sites or tools (including calendar booking, social platforms, and company websites). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not ours.

Security

We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You use the Services at your own risk. If we learn of a security breach that affects your personal information, we may notify you by email or by posting a notice on the Site, and we will comply with applicable breach-notification law.

International users

If you use the Services from outside the United States, you understand that personal information may be processed in the United States.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Services after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Privacy request

Use this form to request access, correction, or deletion, or to ask a privacy question. We do not publish a public privacy inbox. Submissions are logged and reviewed by our team.
