Our Philosophy

At the heart of Not Yet Ventures is that Alex was tired of seeing incredible early entrepreneurs continually faced with mediocrity by those who promised to be helpful. Alex devised a way to quickly find the serious student entrepreneurs, and worked to get them to the level at which the average funder or accelerator program would be able to recognize them.

Talent is equally distributed, opportunity is not

While we love meeting students from Ivy leagues and Stanford, what really excites us is finding talented student entrepreneurs who happen to be at places like University of Virginia, Ohio State, University of Florida, etc, where entrepreneurship really isn't the norm.

Integrity and Authenticity

Strong relationships are the engine of business. Solid character and doing what you say you will do are table stakes for how we treat you, how we expect you to treat those you interact with, and how we expect to interact with investors in our network. We have a 'no a*holes or timewasters' rule.

Humanity

We will never rely on automated systems to manage our interactions. Every email is read and responded to by a decision maker. Most early stage investors fail to support great entrepreneurs because they outsource the relationship building to interns, applications, and AI systems.

Give First

We believe in providing value before asking for anything in return. Whether it's making introductions, sharing insights, or helping solve problems, we're committed to giving first. This approach builds trust and creates lasting relationships that benefit everyone involved. We're not just investors - we're partners who are genuinely invested in your success.
